A lack of toilets in the community across India is causing deaths and disharmony among the society members. Open defecation not only spreads diseases and toxic atmosphere but also puts residents, especially women at risk of catching the infection.
In a pitiful incident in Mumbai, a 59-year old man, Fulchand Yadav was beaten to death by another man on Wednesday night after he refused to vacate the public washroom immediately, Mumbai Mirror reported.A shortage of community toilets often lead to villagers waiting in long queues or walking a mile before they can relieve themselves.
