British fashion house Burberry enlisted Brooklyn Beckham to photograph
its latest campaign for its upcoming Brit fragrance, and it all played out
over the weekend on the brand’s Instagram and Snapchat channels.
The 16-year-old son of fashion designer Victoria Beckham and football
legend David Beckham, showed his excitement of moving behind the camera on
his own Instagram by featuring a picture of himself wearing a hoodie
focusing his Leica camera.
The live social media shoot, which fans could follow using the hashtag
#ThisIsBrit, showed Beckham shooting models Maddie Domaine, Ben Rees, Liv
Mason Pearson, Lewis Helim and Carvell Conduah in various locations
including a cobbled London Mew, on a rooftop and at a skatepark.
Commenting on choosing Beckham to shoot Burberry’s latest campaign,
Christopher Bailey, Burberry chief creative and chief executive officer,
said: “Brooklyn has a really great eye for image and Instagram works
brilliantly for him as a platform to showcase his work. His style and
attitude were exactly what we wanted to capture the spirit of this new
fragrance campaign.”
Brooklyn isn’t the first Beckham to work with Burberry, his younger
brother Romeo has appeared in more than one campaign for the brand, most
recently for its festive campaign alongside other celebrity names including
James Corden and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
