Charlotte Flair is no longer the Smackdown Women’s Champion, but her next best shot at winning the title will come this Sunday night when she takes part in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Her involvement in wrestling could be delayed for a bit after Money in the Bank now because the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that Flair is currently dealing with an injury. The company has already decided to pull Flair from their upcoming live events in Japan at the end of the month as a result of the injury. Flair will be undergoing surgery for a ruptured implant that she received earlier this year. Charlotte is only expected to miss about a month of in-ring time.
NXT Takeover: Chicago will feature most of the most popular members of the NXT roster, but there is one fan-favorite NXT personality who has just confirmed that he will be unable to appear during the show. NXT’s lead announcer Mauro Ranallo revealed on Twitter earlier today that he will not be calling the action during Takeover in Chicago this weekend. He will instead be busy with other announcing duties for Showtime Boxing. Although Mauro will not be able to sit at the announcer’s table for Takeover this Saturday night, Ranallo has confirmed that 205 Live commentator Vic Joseph will be taking his place at the commentary table alongside Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson for the evening.
I’m blessed to have more than one job. Unfortunately, dates may conflict. Off to Dallas for a @ShowtimeBoxing tripleheader . That means I won’t be in Chicago for #NXTTakeOver You’ll be in good hands with @VicJosephWWE @McGuinnessNigel & @WWEPercyWatson ????

Ruby Riott has been impressive so far ever since she was brought up from NXT to WWE’s main roster. Ruby has recruited Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan into a group called The Riott Squad, and they have been causing chaos on the Raw brand over the past couple of weeks. Riott may be getting her shot in WWE now, but she actually has a long history in professional wrestling. A new brief video on WWE’s YouTube channel features Riott revisiting and discussing her time on the independent wrestling circuit while competing at Heidi Lovelace. This short documentary provides an interesting look into how Ruby became the performer that she is today. Feel free to watch the video posted down below:
