CM Punk has remained one of the most controversial stars in all of professional wrestling despite the fact that he has not competed in a ring since 2014. Though he has been gone for quite some time, CM Punk has remained in the news due to his attempt at an MMA career and due to the lawsuit filed against him and Colt Cabana by WWE doctors Chris Amann after Punk and Cabana made several different accusations towards him during Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast. The Wrestling Observer reports that the case is now expected to go to trial soon. Although it was originally believed that the lawsuit would be settled before it could go to trial, that has not happened. Amann is pressing charges after Punk claimed on Cabana’s show that Amann did not properly treat a back injury and concussion that he had during his time in WWE.
One of the most exciting reasons to tune into Raw is because of the unpredictability that Braun Strowman provides. Fans have seen “The Monster Among Men” toss over ambulances, break the ring, use a grappling hook to bring down scaffolding onto two men, and tons of other stunts have been performed by Strowman just within the past year as well. Strowman and “The Drifter” Elias are set to continue their feud after last week’s events on Raw, but it looks like the two will be having a bit of a unique match on tonight’s show. WWE announced before tonight’s Raw show that the two will face off in a ‘Symphony Of Destruction.’ Details on the match are scarce, but fans will be able to watch it later on tonight.

It was reported yesterday that a match between the Undisputed Era and Heavy Machinery at an NXT live event in Indianapolis had to be briefly stopped after NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish. He was still able to complete the match, but Fish appeared to be hurt and he was helped to the back after his match concluded. Unfortunately, the developmental brand may have just lost another star due to injury. F4WOnline reported that Montez Ford of the Street Profits fractured his mouth over the weekend. Fortunately, the injury does not appear to be too serious and the team will likely still be able to compete in the ongoing Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament in NXT.
