The number one contender to the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, could potentially be in some hot water over comments made by jailed steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez. Filmmaker Jon Bravo has been working on a documentary featuring Rodriguez, and the man has claimed that Reigns (and potentially a few other WWE Superstars) have purchased steroids from him in the past. Reigns has denied all of the allegations, but Bravo and Rodriguez still persist. YouTube channel Heel By Nature just released a video featuring Bravo promising that the documentary on Rodriguez will be out soon and it will present evidence against Reigns. Bravo also claimed that is he “going to have to hide after this video.”
It was reported a while back that Raw Superstar Sheamus is currently dealing with spinal stenosis and has been wrestling in a tag team with Cesaro over the past few months to help hide his injury. Nevertheless, Sheamus has still continued to wrestle a full time schedule and he has also won the Raw Tag Team Championships several times over the past year. So how is the former world champion able to wrestle with an injury that has ended several careers in the past? On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer stated that Sheamus’ injury may not be bothering him now, but it will definitely begin to harm him once he gets older. “It’s looking like he can work pretty well and everything like that. In the long run it’s not a good thing to have. Austin has it and he lives a normal life but he doesn’t wrestle anymore. It probably will shorten his career.” Meltzer said.
The Fastlane pay-per-view for Smacdown is still a few more weeks away from taking place. Despite this, a match between The Usos and The New Day for the Smackdown Tag Team Champions has been announced for the show. Much like how Jinder Mahal has been trying to insert his way into the US Championship match between Bobby Roode and Randy Orton, the Bludgeon Brothers have made it clear that they want a shot at the Usos’s titles very soon. The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that there is actually a possibility that Harper and Rowan could be added to the match between The Usos and The New Day. It’s reportedly even possible that a title change could be taking place before WrestleMania as well.
