An incident from the most recent set of Impact tapings has occurred, and it sounds like it could have some repercussions for the wrestling company if it continues any further. According to Pro Wrestling Shreet, a major dispute occurred over at Impact between Bob Ryder and the Jarretts. It apparently started when Karen Jarrett questioned why Ryder had not booked a hotel room during the set of tapings. Somehow, things got out of hand, expletives were used, and even Jeff Jarrett eventually got involved.
PWInsider reported that most people that they talked to believed that Ryder either quit or was fired by the company. He did, however, leave Orlando after the argument and did not complete his duties for the day. Luckily for Impact, Ryder had tweeted that everything is well, and he is back working for Impact over in Nashville, Tennessee. It appears that whatever heated dispute he had with the Jarretts has been put to rest for now.
Bob Ryder is a longtime Impact executive. He, Jerry Jarrett, and Jeff Jarrett founded TNA Wrestling (now Impact Wrestling), during a fishing trip back in 2002. The dust has settled for now, but it is certainly possible that there is more to this story, or that it could continue in the weeks to come. Impact Wrestling recently relaunched itself on Pop TV, and has been bringing in new and former stars to the company under its new ownership of Anthem Sports & Entertainment.
