The first 2016 presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump takes place Monday night beginning at 9pm ET.
The event is being held at Hofstra University and will be moderated by Lester Holt of NBC News. The themes, announced last week by the Commission on Presidential Debates, are “America’s Direction,” “Achieving Prosperity,” and “Securing America.”

According to Politico, Bloomberg TV will conduct on-screen fact checks of statements made by both Trump and Clinton during the debate.
