— On Wednesday, WWE announced the signing of Indian “independent wrestler and bodybuilder” Amanpreet Singh and they noted that he has already reported to the WWE Performance Center for training. The company had the following to say about him:
A powerful figure that stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 240 pounds, Singh endured a difficult childhood by channeling his energies into sports. He’s a self-taught bodybuilder who won local competitions before turning his focus to wrestling in 2011. Training under the likes of Savio Vega and Al Snow, Singh enjoyed success inside the ring in his native India, as well as in the United States and United Kingdom.
— WWE didn’t mention this in their article, but Singh wrestled in TNA/Impact between 2011-2012 in “Ring Ka King” (which was a promotion backed by TNA) and then again in 2014 and 2017 under the name Mahabali Shera.
