Although a showdown between NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and future WWE Hall Of Famer Big Show has been teased for the past couple of years, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
After interacting with each other on WWE television and pay-per-views, including past episodes of RAW and at WrestleMania 32, it has been believed that Big Show vs. Shaq was inevitable, and that it was just a matter of when and where the match would get put together.
That no longer appears to be the case.
Big Show recently spoke with the folks at TMZ and was asked whether or not the match is still in the works.
“No, I doubt it [is going to happen],” said Big Show. “It probably should have happened a long time ago, and it didn’t. Shaq’s a great dude. Who knows, hopefully, we’ll do something together down the road [and] do something else.”
Big Show continued, “He’s busy, I was busy. You know, you get a superstar like Shaq, who is doing so many things where it’s hard to nail him down for the time to get things done. But, I have a lot of respect for him, and look forward to doing with him down the road.”
