Mauricio Pochettino has insisted he is in for the long-haul at Tottenham and is ‘motivated’ to help Spurs develop into one of the elite clubs in world football.
In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT’s Laura Woods ahead of the Champions League final, the Argentine lifted the lid on his future and appeared to rubbish reports linking him with the Juventus job.
Pochettino says Tottenham already boast the best facilities of any club in the world, with a state-of-the-art Enfield Training Centre and new £1billion stadium, which was finally opened towards the end of this season.
Now, the manager’s aim is to transform Spurs into a world-class team on the pitch, and insists he is fully committed to the long-term project he started in 2014.
“Today Tottenham is, for me, the best club in the world when we talk about facilities,” he told talkSPORT.
“This training ground and the new stadium, which is the best in the world, there is no better club.
“And then it’s in London, there’s no better city, it’s England, it’s the Premier League – the toughest and most exciting league.
“We need to make that step and of course we realise we can continue in this process and we can put Tottenham with the best teams in the world.

“There’s still a lot of work to do, but of course I am so motivated to stay with Tottenham and provide Tottenham with what they deserve.”
Spurs have already made huge strides in that long-term aim this season by reaching their first ever European Cup final, where they meet Premier League rivals Liverpool, a match you can listen to LIVE on talkSPORT.
The north London side have stunned the football world with their miraculous run to Madrid, having almost gone out at the group stages before staging stunning comebacks against Premier League champions Manchester City and Eredivisie champions Ajax.
And Pochettino has revealed he will discuss his and the club’s plans for the future after their Spanish showdown with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
“Now, it’s about finishing the Champions League and then we will talk about how we’re going to build that next step,” added the Argentine coach.
“It’s between us, the owner and Daniel [Levy, club chairman].
“We need to talk to know his ideas try to decide the plan to reach the last step and be in a position that makes us dream and believe we can be real contenders.”
