Raw intro plays.
WWE Champion CM Punk’s music plays, but Paul Heyman comes out instead. He heads to the ring to address the crowd.
Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. Last night I felt like each and everyone of you because I got to witness history! He got to witness it in enormous fashion as I watched CM Punk successfully defend the championship against John Cena. The ending of the match is broiled in controversy. So in the interest of clarity, I have asked referee Chad Patton to come out to this very ring right now and defend his decision to the WWE audience. Mr. Patton, if you will please.
Chad Patton comes out and walks down to the ring.
Heyman: Mr. Patton I thank you for coming out. I understand you are deep in the middle of this controversy. If you’ll look up you’ll see a snapshot of the pinfall. Both shoulders were clearly on the mat. Everybody loves to be a critic, and John Cena was a critic of Chad last night. But he didn’t make the wrong decision last night. He made the right decision.
Patton: Yes I did.
Heyman: And we commend you on making the right decision. To vindicate him, a fan took footage on a video phone and sent it to YouTube. Suspiciously that video was taken down, perhaps by Cena, but if you’ll look at the footage…
Footage plays of the match. Cena gives a German suplex off the top to Punk and both Cena’s and Punk’s shoulders are down on the mat.
Heyman: What more needs to be seen? That match was a draw and a draw goes to the champion. Which means for the 303rd consecutive day your WWE Champion is CM Punk. And that is what Punk is talking about. He is now worthy of your respect and you won’t give it to him. Last night he walked into Massachusetts-
John Cena comes out and heads down to the ring to confront Heyman.
Heyman: Mr. Cena, in the interest of clarity-
Cena: Paul, shut up. This is gonna turn you upside down but I agree with you. Chad made the right call. You can listen to the fans, they even know his technical skills. He knows Chad Patton and they have no bias. Last night was epic. I have my ankle taped tonight and Punk and I had a match of WrestleMania proportions. And I had a conversation with Chad that making the match a draw was like giving the Superbowl a draw. Everyone wanted to see the epic match end. Did the fans want to see that epic match end? Punk has been clamoring for respect, and do you think Punk earned that respect with a tie?
Heyman: Since you value me so much, i’ll answer that question with a simple word: yes.
Cena: I think I owe that series of “NO” to Daniel Bryan, but i’ll have to agree. Their definition of respect is different from my own. Respect isn’t earned by hitting someone with a championship match after a draw. Respect is about beating anyone on any given night so you can have the right to say “best in the world”. Respect is holding your head up high after a definitive decision. Chad, you made the right call, but I wanna know who the winner was going to be. I’ll do it with one leg. I’m here, we’ve got a ref. All we needs is Punk and we can have a rematch tonight.
Heyman: I’m sure Punk will be happy to tell you to your face what he thinks of that challenge. And he’ll tell you when he gets here tonight. But hearing it from me is the same as hearing it from CM Punk because I am the voice of the voice of the voiceless.
Cena: And I was trying to be patient with you…
Alberto Del Rio comes out along with Ricardo. They head to the ring.
Del Rio: John Cena, stop crying about last night. You had your chance and you lost. On the other hand, I never had a fair shot at the World Title. The Brogue kick was banned and suddenly was reinstated right before my title match. Like you Cena, I wasn’t ready for my title match. If anyone deserves a rematch it’s the man who never lies, Alberto Del Rio.
Raw General Manager AJ Lee comes out and skips down to the ring.
AJ: Speaking on behalf of Booker T, maybe they both deserve second chances. That’s why i’m going to combine the two main event matches last night into one super main event. WWE Champion CM Punk is going to team with Alberto Del Rio to take on World Champion Sheamus and (wait for it)…John Cena. And this match could determine who will be in future title matches.
AJ exits the ring and skips away.
Backstage Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio are heading to the ring together for a tag match.

When you consider previous talk shows like Piper’s Pit, The Cutting Edge, The Highlight Reel, they were missing one thing that made them truly great. Let’s face it, Roddy Piper, Chris Jericho and Edge were never as controversial, as charismatic, and as awesome as me! And last night at night of champions I proved my greatness when I proved not one, not two, but three of the best his guest could give him tonight. Why did he ban the Brogue Kick only to reinstate it a week later? I’ll tell you why. You miss the spotlight, right? You so desperately miss being the center of attention that it makes you insane knowing your time is over. Your days are down.
