— World Wrestling Entertainment recently issued a cease and desist letter to Great Lakes Championship Wrestling promoter Dave Herro in regards to an upcoming show featuring former WWE stars for “attempting to pass (his) event off as an official WWE event.” Herro says that is not the case and the show will take place as scheduled. Great Lakes Championship Wrestling issued the following press release:

— In this week’s edition of Santino’s Casa on WWE.com, Santino Marella’s main squeeze “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix fills in for him. She calls out a few blondes in her segment, Beth’s Blonde Beatdown. You can view the segment at the following link.
The reason for Marella’s absence this week is because he was apparently not brought to Monday’s Raw/ECW taping in Jacksonville. Marella was nowhere to be seen on either program. He also didn’t appear at house show events over the weekend.
As reported earlier, one way WWE is looking to cut costs is by not flying in every single active talent on the roster to the weekly tapings unless they actually have plans to use them. In the past, WWE would fly in everyone on the roster whether they had plans to use them or not. Last week, Cryme Tyme weren’t brought to the weekly Raw taping for the first time since their return to the company.
