All Elite Wrestling has been promoting an appearance from Chris Jericho at Fight for the Fallen, complete with “live microphone”, apparently that just wasn’t good enough for the living legend, who picked his own spot Saturday night in Jacksonville.
Just moments after Hangman Page defeated UK sensation Kip Sabian in an action packaged and hard-hitting singles match, Jericho hit the ring dressed as one of the “creepers” associated with The Dark Order, and proceeded to mercilessly attack his ALL OUT opponent.
The two will face off next month when AEW returns to the Sears Center in Chicago, with the winner becoming the first ever AEW World Champion. That said, Jericho just got a huge boost of momentum heading into their first ever one-on-one encounter, leveling Page with a nasty rolling elbow strike – a move he’s now calling the “Judas Effect” – not only knocking the Hangman out cold, but leaving him a bloody mess with a large gash above his eye.
