As previously announced, because he is not bound to either the Raw or Smackdown Live rosters, Brock Lesnar has the ability to cash-in his newly won Money in the Bank briefcase on the WWE Championship or the Universal Championship.
Lesnar teased a cash-in Monday night in the closing segment of Raw, after both champions Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins were savagely attacked by Bobby Lashley following an otherwise successful tag team match.
The “Beast Incarnate” would ultimately back off before officially cashing in, but according to his advocate Paul Heyman, they will be appearing next week on Raw to reveal which world title Lesnar plans on chasing.
Also announced for next week’s show is a segment to determine the future of the WWE United States Championship. Rey Mysterio defeated Samoa Joe in just over a minute at this past weekend’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, but did so in controversial fashion, as Joe’s shoulders were very obviously off the mat at the time.
That being said, Mysterio also suffered what is believed to be a separated shoulder during the bout, so he may be out of action for an undetermined amount of time. Joe cut a promo on Raw essentially telling the new champion to do the right thing and turn the title back over to him.
