After Matt Hardy made his return to WWE during tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, a report by PWInsider.com has provided an update on the contract status of The Hardy Boyz.

It was only a few days ago that Matt Hardy had revealed to fans on social media that his WWE contract was up very soon, which led to speculation that he might be on his way out of the company.

However, his surprise appearance alongside his brother Jeff Hardy clearly indicated that he was going nowhere, and according to the report that is exactly the case.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE has activated a release clause in both of the Hardy’s contracts that allows the company to add one more year to their respective deals, meaning the legendary team will be sticking with the company until at least 2020.
