Barcelona’s new signing Antoine Griezmann has revealed he admires Liverpool more than any other English team, claiming Jurgen Klopp’s side ‘deserve’ to win the Premier League.
The France striker was frequently linked with a move to Manchester United in recent years before finally sealing a £107million switch to Camp Nou from Atletico Madrid earlier this month

But despite allegedly nearing a move to Old Trafford on many occasions, the World Cup winner revealed he actually prefers Liverpool to the Red Devils.
And he hopes the Anfield club’s excellent fans get to see their side lift the Premier League trophy, as they ‘deserve’ to be crowned English champions again.
“In terms of teams I admire Liverpool because of the fans. Hopefully one day they will win the league again,” Griezmann told Sky Sports.
Griezmann, who made his debut as Barcelona were defeated 2-1 by Chelsea on Tuesday, netted 133 goals in 257 appearances during his five years with Atleti.
He is determined to play a key role moving forward for Ernesto Valverde’s team, who will hope to retain the LaLiga crown for the third successive season in 2019/20.
“I hope I will have an important role,” Griezmann continued. “I want to be an important player for the team and help in whatever way I can.
“As long as I enjoy playing with my team-mates and give it all on the pitch, it doesn’t matter.”
Griezmann also said he would love to play alongside Arsenal forward, and France team-mate, Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners striker, who was named Player of the Year at the Emirates last campaign, was reportedly a target for Barcelona earlier this summer.
“As a player, I would like to play with Alexandre Lacazette,” Griezmann added.
“He’s a friend of mine off the field and we’ve played together for the national team. He’s got a lot of talent.”
