WWE Raw comes to you live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH, and as reported earlier from ProWrestling.com’s Managing Editor, we have a whopper of a stipulation set for tonight’s match between Braun Strowman and Kane. WWE reported that the match between Raw’s two resident monsters will now be a qualifying match, and the winner will go on to be the new #1 contender to Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship, and will face off against the beast at the Royal Rumble on January 28th.

If that wasn’t big enough, we are getting all three members of the Shield in singles matches which will see Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns go against Cesaro. Dean Ambrose will go against the man who cost him and Seth Rollins the chance to reclaim their Tag Team Championships when he faces off against Samoa joe, and Seth Rollins will be squaring off against Sheamus.

Lastly, what will happen when we see Matt Hardy, who is now fully WOKEN and has begun the Great War? Is this marking the DELETION of Bray Wyatt?

IN-RING SEGMENT

We start that match with the Samoan submission machine, Samoa Joe. He begins by talking about the Shield, and talking about their history of destruction from everyone including Evolution to the Undertaker. Joe says that he has seen the Shield up close and he must admit that he is not impressed. He is not impressed with the man who’s leg he snapped on his first night in WWE, Seth Rollins. He is not impressed with the man who has avoided him at all costs, Dean Ambrose. And he is mostly not impressed with the man he’s put to sleep time and time again in the middle of the ring, Roman Reigns.

Joe says that while he has business later with Dean Ambrose, he first has unfinished business with Roman Reigns. He clarifies, and tells Roman that not Roman and his Shield brethren, just Roman Reigns himself. He reminds Roman that last week he put him in the Coquina clutch and put him to sleep, and if it wasn’t for Jason Jordan, he would’ve wiped him off this planet. He reminds Roman as well that it is because of him that his compatriots Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose are not Raw Tag Team Champions. He says that he is a man that stands on his own two feet, he doesn’t need Cesaro, nor Sheamus, and that if Roman Reigns didn’t have The Shield he would be nothing. And if Roman doesn’t agree, to come down to the ring. Hell of a promo.

Roman Reigns’ music hits and he is making his way to the ring by himself, no Shield brothers next to him. Joe is ready in the ring to go one-on-one with Roman who gets right in the ring and Joe and Reigns are going at it! Reigns backs Joe into the corner and starts stomping away on Joe. As Roman is getting the advantage, Sheamus & Cesaro come in and attack Roman, giving Joe enough time to lock in the Coquina Clutch! Joe continues choking out Roman and Cesaro & Sheamus continue stomping on Roman while he is down! This was definitely a set up!

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose run down to the ring to save Roman Reigns, and Sheamus & Cesaro intercept Rollins & Ambrose and start to beat them down, but they are able to get past them to take Joe off of Roman, but Roman is out. Sheamus & Cesaro hit the ring and the three men start to beat down Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose. The battle ends as Samoa Joe hits Dean Ambrose with a vicious Uranage. The newly formed team of the Tag Team Champions, Sheamus & Cesaro, along with Samoa Joe celebrate as they head back up the ramp, leaving The Shield decimated in the ring.
