Austin Aries made an appearance and was in a match last night in Australia’s World Series Wrestling. It seems as if there was an altercation with some fans after the show. The fans approached Aries after the show at the airport looking for an autograph, to which Aries refused. The fan proceeded to post about it on social media, to which Aries responded.

Aries responded shortly after, saying that this was rude and that 100s of fans waited at the show for a meet and greet with Aries, and bought T-Shirts, pictures, etc. but that these fans stalked him int the airport to avoid paying.
Last night 100’s of fans at @WSWWrestlingAUS show waited patiently, supporting their fav wrestlers, by buying shirts/pics/autographs… https://t.co/knjeQf8mXs

Today, 3 adults at said show, who bought 0 from anyone, stalked at the airport wanting free pics. It’s rude and unfair to all the REAL fans. https://t.co/knjeQf8mXs

It’s not about $, I gave free pics and autographs to some fans AT @WSWWrestlingAUS show. Act entitled though, you’ll hear me speak #TheTruth

This has been a common theme with wrestlers over the years, especially on the independent scene where their money is not only made on the booking, but on the merchandise they sell. Many wrestlers will happily pose with fans that come to their table and make a purchase. Others argue that fans like this “come with the territory” of being a celebrity/wrestling star, and that Aries and others could easily oblige the fans with a quick photo. What’s your thoughts?
