Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has urged team-mate Christian Eriksen to ‘concentrate on the team’ following his sensational cameo in their win over Aston Villa.
The Dane was named on the bench for against the Villans but his substitution was the catalyst for their comeback which saw Kane net twice following club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele’s equaliser.
Eriksen’s future, though, is up in the air with reports linking the 27-year-old with a transfer to Real Madrid and Atletico this summer.
Although the English window for incoming players has closed, Premier League clubs and still sell their stars abroad, which means Spurs could still lose one of their best assets.
And with uncertainty surrounding his team-mate, Kane believes the most important thing is Eriksen’s focus is on his current location.
Asked what he made of the midfielder’s performance against Aston Villa, he told talkSPORT: “Yeah, he did great.
“I think the most important thing for Chris is to concentrate on the team and do his best for the team whenever he’s involved.
“He did that today. He came on and made a difference so that’s all we can ask for.”
