More than a month after she made her AEW debut and set Jade Cargill in her sights, Taya Valkyrie will get her shot at the TBS Champion on next Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
Valkyrie is 4-0 in her early run with one of those wins coming over Cargill's running mate Leila Grey. Cargill is undefeated in her career and another win next week will give her 22 title defenses and nearly 480 days as champion.
Valkyrie is in her fourth reign as AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and is both a former Impact Knockouts Champion and MLW Featherweight Champion.
The show will also feature Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin with the winner moving on to face AEW World Champion MJF at May's Double or Nothing.
Guevara defeated "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry Wednesday in the newly-announced Four Pillars tournament, advancing to the finals against Allin who earned a bye by virtue of his name being drawn out of a hat by MJF.
