Paulo Dybala’s agent has revealed his client was never likely to move to the Premier League during the summer transfer window, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
The Juventus forward seemed certain to head to either Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United, but a move never materialised.
Instead, Dybala is still plying his trade in Turin despite seemingly being forced out.
After the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 and then the appointment of Maurizio Sarri this summer, it seemed inevitable the 25-year-old would be forced to move on.
However, the Argentina international is still with Juventus and it does not seem as though a move to England was ever even on the cards.
Speaking to TuttoSport , Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun said: “I did speak to the English club, but the stories about the commission were not true. There were simply issues between the two clubs.”

Reports in the aftermath of the window closing suggested a move to Spurs did not happen because of Dybala’s exorbitant wage demands, with image rights a major sticking point.
The reigning Serie A champions got their league campaign off to a perfect start on Saturday, with Giorgio Chiellini grabbing the winner against Parma.
Dybala and new signing Matthijs de Ligt were unused substitutes for the clash at the Ennio Tardini, with Chelsea flop Gonzalo Higuain starting up front.
