PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield man threatened to kill his grandparents with a knife, resulting in his arrest Monday, according to Plainfield police.
Anthony Olivo, 29, is facing two charges of intimidation and physical harm, as well as aggravated assault of people over 60 years old following the Monday evening incident.

Plainfield officers were dispatched at 5:11 p.m. to Simo Drive for a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival, police spoke with Olivo’s grandparents, who said that while they were eating a meal, the man picked up a knife and threatened to kill them, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch.
Fearing for their lives, the grandparents locked themselves in their bedroom and called 911, Novak said.
Olivo was arrested and taken to the Plainfield Police Department for booking before he was taken to the Will County jail for a pre-trial detention hearing.
This isn’t the first time Olivo was accused of threatening his grandparents. In 2017, the then-22-year-old “became agitated” and pulled a knife on his grandmother, demanding money from her, according to police, Patch reported.
About a year and a half later, Olivo was arrested again and charged with criminal damage to property. Patch reported that police alleged the incident resulted from a heated dispute on the popular social media platform Snapchat.
