PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton City Council will consider approving a project that would tear down Barone’s Restaurant, which closed in October, and create a mixed-use development comprising 14 detached two-and-a-half story single-family homes, two single-story retail and commercial buildings with a plaza and parking lot, and related site improvements on the roughly 2.3-acre project site at 475 and 493 St. John Street.

The existing two-story, 4,742-square-foot single-family home, built in 1887, on the site would be preserved and expanded with a two-story addition on the north side of the home.
The Planning Commission approved the project in October.
The Council will consider the plan Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 7 p.m. See here to learn more about the project and the full agenda.
