Pep Guardiola has said the injury Sergio Aguero picked up in Manchester City’s victory over Chelsea is ‘bad.’
The reigning champions came from behind to keep themselves within nine points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.
All the goals in an open contest at the Etihad Stadium came in the first half as the hosts responded to N’Golo Kante’s early strike with goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.
Despite the win, City fans have been left worried after the club’s record scorer Aguero hobbled off in the second-half.
And Guardiola has now admitted it could be a ‘bad’ injury.
“I think Sergio will be bad,” Guardiola said.
“We will see tomorrow. But it is what it is. We have young players who can come in.”
On the hard-fought victory over Chelsea, Guardiola added: “It was a top game against a top side. Chelsea have been big quality for the past 20 years.
“When they went ahead in the best moments they had we scored through Kevin de Bruyne. then we missed a lot of chances.
“Chelsea are the masters at reading the passes – we had problems with Willian and Tammy Abraham. We fought a lot and had a good victory.”
