After the success of Raazi last year, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar needs no introduction — the film being one of the biggest hits of 2018. However, Bollywood isn’t always considered to be a woman’s turf. And now, that the discourse has moved towards fortified representation of women behind the scenes in Indian cinema, it won’t be an overstatement that feisty film-maker Meghna Gulzar is right at the helm of it.
At the ongoing literary extravaganza, Jaipur Literature Festival, Meghna launched a book on her father, Gulzar, one of the most prolific Urdu writers and poets of our time. The book titled ‘Because We Are: A Portrait Of My Father’, narrates Gulzar’s life and the relation that the father-daughter duo share.
