British high street retailer Marks and Spencer has confirmed that it is
partnering with Graduate Fashion Week, which takes place in June, for the
events 25th anniversary.
As part of the partnership, Marks and Spencer will be hosting live talks
and competitions with Graduate Fashion Week, as well as sponsoring the
womenswear award, which will see the high street chain awarding the winning
graduate 5,000 pounds and 1,000 pounds to the winners university.
A spokesperson for Marks and Spencer said: “Graduate Fashion Week
provides a unique platform to present the best of British and international
fashion graduates to the world. As a major employer of designers, we have
more than 200 across the M&S business, it’s also exciting to see the
creativity, dynamism, and energy of the students.”
In addition, Graduate Fashion Week has also confirmed that department
store group Debenhams will be sponsoring this year’s menswear award.
Graduate Fashion Week takes place from June 5 to 8, at the Old Truman
Brewery in East London. More than 10,000 students from 40 UK and 11
international universities will present their collections.
