Indian government and corporate organizations are now evolving their HR and company policies in order to make office environments more welcoming for the LGBTQ+ community.
With Supreme Court decriminalizing Section 377 that no longer considers homosexuality a criminal offence, employer benefits such as medical insurance, relocation, nomination for retirement benefits and numerous other benefits might now be extended to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer employees also.
The Managing Director and HR head of Royal Bank of Scotland, Anuranjita Kumar said that they had already extended medical hospitalization benefits to same-sex partners. And now they are looking at extending other facilities like relocation etc, reported The Times of India.
