AllSaints has its sights set on expansion in Japan as the edgy apparel
label announced plans to host its Autumn/Winter 2016 presentation in Japan
during Tokyo Fashion Week.
The London-based brand is set to host a womenswear and menswear
presentation on March 17, to coincide with the launch of its debut store in
Japan. The store, which is located on Harajuku Cat Street in Omotesando,
Tokyo, officially opened its doors last week and is set to be the first of
many to open in the country over the next year. The store opening comes
months after AllSaints debut pop-up store opening in Osaka, which is set to
be followed up with its e-commerce launch this April.
The presentation will be part of AllSaints AW16 showcase and follows on
from a series of presentations the label held for the range during New York
Fashion Week and London Fashion Week. The showcase also aims to strength
the brand’s presence in the country. “The documentation of Tokyo’s cultural
landscape has informed so much of my creative palette over the years,” said
chief creative officer Wil Beedle to WWD. “So bringing AllSaints to Tokyo
Fashion Week, and launching the latest chapter of the brand’s global
journey in Japan, is both exciting and inspiring.”
