New York-based fashion designer Cynthia Rowley is to showcase her resort
collection at the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in May.
CFDA Award-winner Rowley joins seven other additionally designers and
brands who will showcase on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia
catwalk for the first time, joining more than 65 designers who have already
confirmed to take part in the fashion event to showcase resort
collections.
Set to take place on May 19 at Sydney’s Carriageworks, Rowley will
showcase a selection of resort ready-to-wear, swimwear and wetsuits, to
mark her first such presentation in the Australian market.
Other designers to join the MBFW Australia line-up includes Australian
design duos Romance Was Born and Tome, Albus Lumen, C/meo Collective, Han,
and Yuxin, an emerging Chinese designer showing her first resort collection
in Sydney.
The fashion week also announced that the six-day event will also feature
talks on the future of fashion, and the premiere of Three Women Arrive, a
short film starring Dion Lee, Kym Ellery, and Toni Maticevski.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia will run from May 15 to May 20.
