UK designers have stated that they wish to remain in Europe for the
upcoming EU referendum, according to a survey by the British Fashion
Council.
Close to 300 designers responded to the survey with 90 percent sending a
clear message that they wanted to stay in Europe, while only 4.3 percent
said that they would vote to leave. 2.4 percent added that they were still
undecided and 2.8 percent stated that they would not be voting in the
referendum.
The results of the British Fashion Council survey was announced
following London Collections: Men, which saw a number of designers
including Christopher Raeburn, Daniel W Fletcher, E.Tautz, Lou Dalton and
Sibling all placing their support behind the Remain In campaign.
These results also echo the response from the Creative Industries
Federation Survey, which showed more than 96 percent support for Remain
among members, with barely 4 percent in favour of Leave.
The UK decides whether it wishes to stay in the European Union on June
23.
