London – Fabletics, the fashion activewear brand co-founded by actress Kate
Hudson, is expanding this spring with the introduction of a debut beachwear
collection, which will offer women performance, fashion and lifestyle items
for the beach including the brand’s first dresses.
“Fabletics was built on performance. Our customers love our compression
and lifestyle fabrics, and they’ve been asking us to expand our offerings –
requesting dresses, in particular,” explains Shaun Kearney, vice president
of design for Fabletics. “We’ve taken our core fabrics and innovated the
use of these performance and lifestyle fabrics to create our dresses and
swimwear, offering women a new way to wear Fabletics everywhere.”
Launching in April in the UK, the beachwear collection will feature
swimwear, dresses and cover-ups, with a focus on ‘easy-to-wear’ pieces.
Highlights include maxi dresses, tunics and rompers, which have been
inspired by Fabletics bestselling pieces and have been designed to cater
for different activities, body types and style performance, with the
dresses set to offer a new take on golf and tennis clothing.
While the swimwear collection offers bikinis, one-pieces and cover-ups,
featuring nautical stripes and tropical prints made from post-consumer
recycled materials, and UV-protectant fabrics for an added layer of defence
against sun exposure.
Fabletics dresses start from 44 pounds while the swimwear starts at 22
pounds for a string bikini to swim outfits that include a swimsuit and a
cover-up priced at 44 pounds.
