New York – Alexander McQueen has taken their website to a whole new level with plans
to improve the shopping experience for their customers and add more
frequent content. Currently, the website says “Alexandermcqueen.com is
temporarily unavailable for site enhancements, we will return shortly and
apologise for any inconvenience.” An announcement regarding the future of
the site is expected later today.
The newly revamped site is expected to be more mobile friendly and viewable
from every smart device. Content for the site will be produced on a monthly
basis, and will feature images and films. Customers can also purchase
merchandise directly from look books. Unique services include
click-and-collect and online booking for appointments for bridal, couture,
and bespoke Savile Row tailoring services.
“Our intention is to provide a more engaging and immersive brand
experience,” a spokesman was quoted saying to WWD. “One of the new features
will be the curated product stories that will update monthly, and this will
give customers fresh angles to the collection. Images and films on the Web
site will be full-bled and richer, which enhances the viewing experience
and offers audience a better view and insight to the collections. Visitors
can also shop directly from look books or product sections and reserve
items online to collect in store. They can also book appointments for
bespoke services at Savile Row, ensuring that we are offering an
omnichannel experience.”
