Rio Ferdinand has identified the four players he believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should bring to Manchester United this January.
Solskjaer is struggling for options in midfield with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay injured and former Red Devil Ferdinand believes Napoli man Fabian Ruiz would be a good addition for them.
Man United have also looked weak in defence at points and Ferdinand suggested Ruiz’s teammate Kalidou Koulibaly would also be a strong signing.
He then picked Boca Juniors midfielder Agustin Almendra as his ‘wildcard’.
Ferdinand responded to a fan’s question on Twitter about who Man United should sign before saying in a later tweet that the 13-time Premier League winners should ‘100% go & get Edinson Cavani’.
He added: “Huge experience, Goalscorer, Work Ethic & Great Pro who the younger players in the squad would learn a lot from!”

Ruiz, 23, has established himself as one of Napoli’s key players since joining the Serie A side from Real Betis in 2018.
The Spain international has been linked with both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Koulibaly has been linked with an Old Trafford move for the past few transfer windows and possesses a hefty price tag understood to be around £90million.
Cavani looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this season having only made eleven appearances for them this season.
And Almendra, 19, is a regular in the Boca Juniors first-team.
