The Premier League returns for another full round of fixtures this weekend starting with a game that has repercussions at both ends of the table.
Following their 3-0 away win at relegation rivals Bournemouth last time out, Watford climbed out of the relegation zone for the first time this season, having picked up four wins in their last five league games.
Spurs, currently sitting eighth in the league, have hit a poor patch of form and are without a win in their last three games, including a 1-0 home loss to runaway leaders Liverpool in their last outing.
Watford will want to keep the resurgence under Pearson alive whereas Mourinho’s men will want to close the gap on the top four which currently sits at a nine points.

Gedson Fernandes is Mourinho's version of Harry Winks, says Adrian Durham
Watford have an appalling record against Tottenham and have got the better of the north London side just once in the Premier League era.
The last four league meetings has seen Spurs pick up the three points on three occasions as well as Watford’s first domestic win over Mourinho’s side since 1987.
Despite Tottenham often getting the better of Watford it is usually a close game, with two of the last three victories for either side only having one goal in it.
When these two sides met earlier on in the season they both had a different manager in the dugout, with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm of Spurs and Quique Sanchez Flores in charge of the visiting Watford as the sides played out a 1-1 draw.
The Hornets took an early lead through Abdoulaye Doucoure but it was cancelled out late on through a late Dele Alli equaliser, which left the visitors routed to the bottom of the table.
The Hornets’ injury list includes Will Hughes, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, Kiko Femenía, Daryl Janmaat and Sebastian Prödl and none of them are expected to be back in time for the clash against Spurs.
However, the home side have been handed a slice of good fortune after Christian Kabasele served the final game of his two-match suspension following his red card in the victory against Wolves.
Spurs will be without a number of players with Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko, Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele all side lined.
However, new arrival Gedson Fernandes could feature and the 21-year-old is eager to impress his new boss and fellow countryman Mourinho.
He said: “All young players want to work with Jose Mourinho because he’s one of the best – all of us as players want to stay near the best, so it’s fantastic to work with him.
“The Premier League is a different competition – every player in the world wants to play in the Premier League.
“For me, it’s one more motivation because I always dreamed of playing in this league and now let’s make my dream come true.
“I think we’re going to do fantastic things because this is a fantastic club.”
