Liverpool fans are planning to give a hostile welcome to the Manchester United coach outside Anfield on Sunday.
There has been a call for supporters to replicate the similar welcome that was given to the likes of Man City and Barcelona.
Thousands gathered in the streets outside the stadium armed with flares in a bid to intimidate the opposition.
A Liverpool fan Instagram account urged for as many people to turn out as possible.
The post by officialliverpoolfans read: “We are going for our first title in 30 years.
“Man Utd will want to stop us more than anyone else so we need to set the tone for the day and let them know we mean business.
“We all know how much these bus welcomes help. Bring pints, pyros and flags and let’s show our arch rivals what this means!”
Merseyside Police have played down any concerns of a repeat of the scenes when Manchester City’s bus was pelted with objects in April 2018.
The club were subsequently handed a £17,500 fined as a result of the incident.
“As with any match, a comprehensive and appropriate policing operation has been put in place ahead of Sunday’s game and we have liaised with both clubs and their supporter groups,” said Chief Superintendent Matt Boyle.
“We are working to ensure this game can be enjoyed safely by all as well as minimising any disruption to local residents and roads.”
There will be a heavy police presence around the ground but that is only following standard procedure for a match of this profile and no special measures have been put in place.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had no safety fears ahead of the match.
“You can make sure you enjoy it, but it can also be an intimidating place, so we’ve got to prepare as well as we can because we have some young players playing at Anfield for the first time.
“We have no safety fears. But of course, they want to try to intimidate us, but as long as it’s within the boundaries.
“I’ve been sat in a coach or bus going to Europe or Anfield and whatever they shout and scream, that’s just part and parcel of these games.”
