The odds on Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City in the summer have fallen dramatically following UEFA’s decision to ban the club from European competitions for the next two seasons.

Man City were found to have committed serious breaches of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations and will not be allowed to take part in the Champions League or Europa League in 2020/21 and 2021/22.
They are allowed to continue taking part in this season’s Champions League, where they face Real Madrid in the last-16.
The Premier League champions say they will launch an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport “at the earliest opportunity” but if unsuccessful, the future looks very bleak for the club.
talkSPORT’s Jamie O’Hara believes manager Guardiola will leave the club as a result of the decision.
O’Hara said on Drivetime: “This is not something they [UEFA] would have taken lightly but they’re not going to be looking at the players and manager, they’re going to be looking at the football club.
“If it is right then they’ve gone against the rules and they have to be punished.
“If Manchester City are now definitely out for the next two seasons, you can say goodbye to Pep Guardiola. He will be off.”
And the bookies seems to agree with O’Hara as Guardiola is now 1/5 to leave Man City in the summer, according to SportNation. Guardiola is 7/2 to stay at the club if the ban is upheld.
As already mentioned, Man City will appeal against the decision, but bookies have already moved to cover the chance that Guaridola may go.
Odds are even being offered on Man City having their 2018/19 Premier League title stripped from them, similar to what Juventus suffered during the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.
However, the chances of that happening are slim with odds of 100/1 being offered.
Before the announcement, Guardiola’s future at Man City was uncertain with the Spaniard yet to sign a new deal, which is set to expire in 2021.
He said himself that he runs the risk of being sacked if his side get beaten in their upcoming Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
