New York – The next version of the updated Chuck II’s has arrived. On Monday, Converse
unveiled the Chuck II reflective print, the spring ’16 iteration of the
brands iconic Chuck Taylor All Stars.
In a statement, Ryan Case, product development director at Converse said, “When
creating the latest version of our successful Chuck II sneaker, we were
inspired by our consumers and being able to further enhance their creative
and active lifestyles.”
The updated Chuck II reflective print is meant to enhance visibility in low
light. This will enable customers to do more activities throughout the day
or night with ease. The original Chuck Taylor’s were intended to be
basketball shoes, so this is promising for athletes who enjoy late night
basketball games.
The shoes upper features a reimagined version of Converse’s signature
camouflage and stars prints on both the high top and oxford silhouettes.
The shoe has all the features that were involved in the redesign such as
the Nike Lunarlon sock liner, non-slipped padded tongue, and suede-lining.
Visual updates like the fully-embroidered All Star ankle patch, high
foxing, and monochrome matte eyelets were also included.
The camouflage print will be available beginning Thursday, March 3, and the
stars print will arrive in stores in April. Price points for the shoes will
range from 80 to 85 dollars.
