It seems as if weddings on a budget could be the next big thing in fashion
as more and more retailers are widening their offering to include
affordable wedding dresses. Following in the footsteps of
who announced the upcoming bridal collection launch last month, comes news that luxury online
retail giant, Net-a-Porter.com is moving into the affordable gown arena.
The e-tailer is set to start offering bridal gowns from contemporary
British fashion label Needle and Thread. Although Net-a-Porter.com has
offered Needle and Thread’s party range for a number of seasons, the bridal
collection was “totally irresistible” to buyer Linda Ayepe, according to
the Telegraph.
The collection offers a series of dresses which are reasonably priced
between 130 pounds for a knee-length tulle dress and 800 for an
embellished, floor sweeping gown. Founder of Needle and Thread, Hannah
Coffin, revealed that she was eager to launch a bridal collection for “a
long time” and that Net-a-Porter’s “impeccable reputation coupled with
faultless customer service made them the obvious choice.”
