The 330 employees at French fashion house Lanvin have come together to take
stand against the explosive exit of , who acted as the label’s creative
director for 14 years. The label’s workers council is demanding Lanvin’s
majority-share owner Shaw-Lan Wang, who reportedly pushed out the creative
director from his role, return to Paris and hear their concerns regarding
and bring him back, according to

The worker body is also considering taking legal recourse with the Paris
commercial court to mediate its standpoint against the management’s
decision to out Elbaz. Council representatives shared details of the
company’s rebel during a broadcast on French radio channel RTL. The news
comes after employees at Lanvin were told of Elbaz’s expulsion on Wednesday
– an announcement that was met with shock and tears according to an unnamed
employee and led to chants of “Alber, Alber, Alber.”
Elbaz surprise exit from the French fashion house came after disagreements
between the designer, Wang and Lanvin’s CEO Michele Huiban. Elbaz has yet
to comment on his next move, but many sources speculate he could be Raf
Simons successor at Christian Dior.
