For the second straight year, there will be a professional wrestling event as part of CEO Fighting Game Championships.
This week’s episode of Being the Elite ended with the announcement that All Elite Wrestling and CEO are partnering for a show at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 29. The venue also hosted CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide in 2018, which Kenny Omega was involved with putting together.
CEO tweeted about the announcement: “As announced on this week’s episode of #BeingTheElite, @ceogaming is excited to bring you another live special live wrestling show w/ @AEWrestling on Saturday, June 29th, during #CEO2019. More details to come!”
CEO is a fighting video games convention that takes place annually.
A hardcore match between AEW’s Michael Nakazawa and CEO organizer Alex Jebailey has been announced for AEW’s show with CEO. It’s a rematch of a comedy match they had on the CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide pre-show, where Jebailey defeated Nakazawa. Jebailey was on crutches due to a torn Achilles he suffered preparing for the match, which was the only time he’s wrestled.
Other matches and wrestlers for the show have yet to be announced. AEW Fight for the Fallen is taking place in Jacksonville two weeks after the event with CEO.
