Alexis Sanchez and Ravel Morrison both featured as Manchester United and Sheffield United went head-to-head in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Carrington on Tuesday.
Morrison returned to the place where it all started, when he was a Manchester United academy star alongside Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, while Sanchez launched a last-ditch attempt to revive his current Red Devils career.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in attendance to watch United win 3-1, thanks to goals from Mason Greenwood, Andreas Pereira, and Angel Gomes.
The manager’s eyes would’ve been firmly fixed on Sanchez, who has a point to prove amid his disastrous spell at Old Trafford since joining from Arsenal in January 2018.

The Chilean, the highest-paid player in the Premier League, did regain some form at the Copa America during the summer, but his United future still looks bleak.
With the transfer window open until September 2 in Europe and Sanchez linked with Inter Milan, Solskjaer recently admitted: “There’s still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and there is a chance.
“Some clubs have shown interest in Alexis, so we’ll see what happens.”
Morrison also has a point to prove after Blades boss Chris Wilder decided to take a punt on him this summer.
The 26-year-old was once considered the next big thing during his time in the Red Devils academy, but following various misdemeanours, his career has failed to take off.
Sheffield United picked him up for free after Ostersunds decided not to renew his contract at the end of last season.
