Andrea Anastasi, the coach of Polish National Team, presented a list of 25 players who will take part in the World League 2012. There is no shortage of surprises, but there are also several young players for whom it is the first contact with Polish team.
Lack of appointment of top middle-blockers is the most surprising. Daniel Plinski, considered to be the best player on this position in Poland, was not recognized again by Anastasi and probably he will not go to the Olympics. Another middle-blocker, Wojciech Grzyb (won a silver medal of World Championships 2006) in spite of playing a very good season, he also did not gain an acceptance by the head coach in contrast to Grzegorz Kosok, who is only a reserve player in Resovia Rzeszow.
Mariusz Wlazly, the best Polish opposite, was not appointed, however, it was a personal decision of Wlazły because Andrea Anastasi was willing to invite him to cooperation.
