Arsenal and Liverpool have both reportedly cast their eye over Hearts wonderkid Aaron Hickey, with representatives from the Premier League duo in attendance at Tynecastle on Sunday.
The 17-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the hosts played out a 1-1 draw against Rangers.
And the interest in the teenager continues to intensify, with the Scottish Sun claiming that the director’s box also had scouts from top-flight trio Newcastle, Southampton and Norwich checking out the Jambos’ kid.
Rangers are keeping close tabs on the young defender, who has also attracted interest from the Championship.
The former Celtic youth starlet broke into Craig Levein’s first team towards the end of last season.
Hickey is currently under contract until 2021, but the club’s hierarchy are desperate to extend that – sooner rather than later – with talks ongoing.
Neil Lennon’s men would benefit from a big-money move, after inserting a 30 per cent sell-on clause when they let the full-back depart from Hearts a year ago.
Hickey has 13 appearances for Levein’s side so far this season, getting on the scoresheet once already.
