Former Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes there isn’t a favourite going into Spurs’ north London derby clash at Arsenal on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are not in the best form going into the match at the Emirates Stadium, having lost their last Premier League match at home to Newcastle.
This defeat, coupled with Arsenal’s good start to the season has arguably made the Gunners the favourites even though Spurs finished higher than them in the Premier League last season.
A win for the Gunners would put them five points ahead of their rivals after just four games of the 2019/20 season.
There have even been rumours circulating at Spurs that Pochettino’s future is in doubt, although the Argentine has labelled the suggestion he could quit Spurs as ‘stupid’.

However, Friedel, who played for Spurs between 2011-15, believes that things are not all bad at the club.
He even suggested Spurs are “a little ahead of Arsenal” going into the game and believes his former club will take the three points.
Speaking exclusively to BonusCodeBets, Friedel said: “These games, especially early in the season, you never know how they’ll pan out.
“Tottenham have a good group of players who have been with Mauricio (Pochettino) for a long time, and they were unlucky in the game v Newcastle. Arsenal, on the other hand, won their first two and came up against a very talented Liverpool side.

“I don’t know if you can put a favourite on this match, I think overall Tottenham are a little ahead of Arsenal, but Arsenal have outstanding players and a very good head coach. It’s a tough one to call but I’m obviously going for Tottenham.”
