As seen at the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble on Friday, the live crowd in Saudi Arabia was noticeably quiet during the backstage interview segments, one of which featured a returning Chris Jericho adding many people, including his Greatest Royal Rumble opponents, to ‘The List.’
According to PWInsider.com, the reason why the live crowd did not respond to the backstage segments is because the segments were shown only to the TV audience and were not seen by the live crowd. We previously noted that prayer breaks were mandated during the show at different intervals, so the backstage segments were used during the breaks so the TV audience had something to view while the live crowd was praying.

As noted, there appears to be confusion over the finish of the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match at WWE Greatest Royal Rumble, as Dave Meltzer is under the impression the finish was botched. Mike Johnson of PWInside.com, however, is reporting the finish of Friday’s Steel Cage match was exactly how it was planned.
