After her standout performance in the Mae Young Classic back in 2017, fans were shocked when WWE did not sign Tessa Blanchard to a contract. Blanchard has found a home for herself over on Impact Wrestling and the Women of Wrestling promotion, but she is now clearing up any rumors over why she didn’t get the job with WWE. While speaking with Fightful Select, Blanchard denied that there was an incident involving her in the WWE Performance Center in 2017 that cost her the gig, which had been one rumored reason why WWE didn’t sign her. Blanchard also added that she has been enjoying her run in Impact Wrestling, and that she wants to go wherever she can have the best matches rather than simply earn money.
“I really don;t know where the story started, but it’s a but humorous. As cool as it would have been to workout at the PC after the MYC and create some scenes with my ex (Ricochet)…I wasn’t there and it never happened. The reason for me working with Impact is not because I was declined any job offer – it’s only because that’s what my gut and my heart were telling me to go do. That’s the only story, a woman that isn’t rushing into anything for a paycheck or for fame… but a woman that just loves pro wrestling.” Blanchard said.
Today marked the official released of the new “Avengers: Endgame” film from Disney and Marvel. This movie marks the conclusion to over a decades worth of Marvel movies, so fans all over the world are eager to see the new film and not have it spoiled for them in advance. Impact Wrestling’s Sami Callihan threatened to pull the ultimate heel move and spoil the film. Callihan demanded Impact management to change his match against at Impact’s Rebellion event to a No DQ match or else he would not attend the show. After being denied, Callihan said that he will spoil the movie if he does not get what he wants. Impact has yet to change the stipulation of the match, so be sure to avoid Callihan’s tweets for the next few days.
@IMPACTWRESTLING management still hasn’t responded to me.
So now if they don’t give me what I asked for…..
I’m going live on PPV at #IMPACTRebellion and giving away all the spoilers to #AvengersEndgame https://t.co/h4d7vzjQ0v

Fans may remember that it was reported weeks ago that Stacey Ervin Jr. decided to quit his job with WWE. Ervin had been training in the WWE Performance Center and was preparing to have a run in NXT, and he was even said to be a standout performer by his coaches and peers. Ervin has since posted a lengthy message on his official Instagram account confirming that his run with WWE has indeed come to an end. Ervin reportedly requested his release back in March after dealing with a concussion. The former gymnast said that he is planning on making his next career move, but he did not specify what that move will be. What is known for sure now is that Stacey Ervin Jr. won’t be appearing on NXT any further.
The threads of life are so interesting the way they weave a story. ?? • It is true. I have parted ways with WWE/NXT. It was not an easy decision, but it was a decision that I felt was right for me. ??? • The experiences I have earned, the friendships that I have gained, the fans that supported me, & the lessons I have learned will ALWAYS hold a special place in my life. ?? • Although I decided that my journey as a WWE Superstar would end, I have not given up, & never will give up, my work of creating my envisioned life. Life is too precious to not pursue that which sets your soul on fire. ?? • As I move into a new phase of my life, with new priorities, goals, & aspirations, I aim to continue my pursuit of excellence. It is my sincere hope that you all continue to find inspiration from my journey, & I ask only for continued support. My family, friends, & fans are nothing short of incredible, & I want you to know that I appreciate the positive vibes from each & every single one of you. ???? • We all move forward. We all continue the journey through ups, & downs. This was just a part of my story. A story that I intend to tell nothing other than greatness. ?? • Thank you all for sticking with me, & supporting me in all that I do. God bless. Ride the wave. ?? • P.s. Someone told me that I was the highest flyer in WWE history (air time / height from the canvas). If someone could please help confirm that, that’d be an awesome fact for the grandkids someday. ???? • #WWE #NXT #RideTheWave #Farewell #ThankYouNXT
