Chloé Chairman Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye is preparing to take on the role
of sponsor for the 27th ANDAM Fashion Awards.
The fashion house will provide two years’ worth of design and business
support for the winner of the Grand Prix 2016, set to be named in July.
The current CEO of Chloé, Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, will follow in the
footsteps of Chanel’s Chairman of Fashion Bruno Pavlovsky, as the sponsor
of this year’s ANDAM Fashion Awards. The winner of the Grand Prix will be
awarded with two years of sponsorship from the fashion house, along with
250,000 euros in the hope of developing a label of their own. Following the
news of the post, the Chloé chairman announced with pride that “the house
has always been an incubator for young designers”.
Launched in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour as an initiative by the Ministry of
Culture, ANDAM (the French National Association for the Development of the
Fashion Arts) aims to make young designers known to established fashion
houses and to help them make a name for themselves, thanks to winners’
bursaries totalling 390,000 euros.
Moncler is also one of the labels that is offering sponsorship for the
first time this year at the 27th edition of the awards ceremony.
Submissions will be open from April 15 onwards, and the jury will decided
the winners in July this year, at the end of Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Haute
Couture Fashion Week.
