CM Punk Reportedly in Strong Consideration for a Lead Role in Starz Wrestling Drama
According to PWInsider.com, Starz is working on a new wrestling themed show titled “Heels”, which focuses on the life of two pro wrestler brothers. One brother works as a heel and the other as a babyface, and the show deals with their struggles in and out of the ring following the death of their father, who ran their Georgia based promotion.
The PWInsider report noted that former WWE Champion CM Punk auditioned for show, and is in strong consideration for the lead role of one of the brothers, the heel, named Jack Spade.

As for the possibility of the show airing, however, PWInsider is reporting the show is currently on hold, and has been put on hold several times in the past. The show, which is being co-produced by ParamountTV, has a script written by Michael Waldron.
Back in February of this year, prior to “Heels” being put on hold, Deadline.com reported that the show was being fast tracked by Starz, and was set to be directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez (“The Stanford Prison Experiment”). Deadline added the show is about “the story of two brothers and rivals – one a villain, or “heel,” in the ring; the other a hero, or “face.” Real conflicts play out in fake matches as they war over their late father’s wrestling promotion, vying for national attention in small-town Georgia.”
