Coach Inc. has introduced a “Craftsmanship Bar” into several of their
flagship stores to give customers the option of customizing their
purchases. The stations will be manned by leather artisans who can monogram
and customize the color trim on hangtags in the store.

PDTThe specialists also provide repair and cleaning services if desired, and
they can also advise on how to care for leather items at home. To date, the
bars have been rolled out to flagship stores in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei,
Singapore, Shanghai, Paris, and New York.“The Craftsmanship Bars will provide the finest leather services in an
elevated yet authentic work environment — an experience that is uniquely
Coach,” the company said in a statement.Coach is still in the process of trying to turn their struggling business
around. Since hiring Stuart Vevers as creative director, the brand has
managed to elevate their image, but the sales figures still aren’t there.
The company plans on cutting jobs in hopes of boosting profitability.
