— Members in creative are under the impression that Jeff Hardy’s last show until he takes a break will be at this month’s Great American Bash pay-per-view, but they are also brainstorming ideas involving him for SummerSlam, in case that is no longer the case.
Company officials are under the impression that Hardy will leave at some point, but also feel he hasn’t completely figured out when that would be.
The Bash date was given to those on the creative staff because if he were to leave immediately following the event, which is being considered a worst case scenario, they’ll have subsequent plans ready. Although, if he stays through SummerSlam, or longer, they’ll have some plans mapped out as well.
— This week’s episode of ECW on Sci Fi featuring Tyson Kidd vs. Christian scored a 1.05 cable rating, up from last week’s 1.0 number.
— WWE’s tour of Mexico last week was a huge success as all four shows were sold out. 5/27 at Arena Monterrey drew 14,000 paying $500,000, 5/28 at Arena Monterrey drew a sellout 14,000 paying $500,000, 5/29 in Querétaro drew 13,000 with more than 1,000 fans turned away, and 5/30 in Mexico City drew 20,000 fans paying $650,000. In a separate note, Saturday night’s SmackDown/ECW house show in Chattanooga, Tennessee drew 5,000 paying $130,000.
